The Nairobi Securities Exchange (NSE) Manager, Investor Relations and Communications job

The Nairobi Securities Exchange (NSE) is a company licensed by the Capital Markets Authority (CMA) to facilitate the trading of financial products through the provision of a trading platform for listed securities. 
In line with this mandate, the Exchange is seeking to recruit qualified, dynamic, self- motivated and results- oriented individuals to fill the following positions:
 
Manager, Investor Relations and Communications
 
Overall Purpose:
 

Responsible for developing and implementing Investor Relations and Communications strategies that will promote and enhance the brand of the NSE in order to create goodwill and build international credibility; positioning the NSE as a market leader in the securities industry, while ensuring higher returns and profitability.

 
Key Duties and Responsibilities
  • Planning, designing and implementing the communications strategy aimed at advancing the mission and objectives of the NSE.
  • Maintaining regular contact with media representatives and stakeholders to promote good public relations for NSE and in addition, promptly responding to requests for information from the media, other stakeholders and the general public.
  • Coordinating the marketing of NSE products & services.
  • Managing the investor relations component of the NSE as a corporate entity.
  • Managing the NSE Corporate Social Responsibility function.
  • Overseeing the management of the Information Centre.
  • Planning and organising workshops, seminars, conferences, exhibitions and road shows designed to create awareness and sensitise stakeholders including the general public.
  • Overseeing Public Education and Training including Securities Industry Training Institute (SITI) Programmes.
  • Coordinating the design and production of NSE Educational and Promotional materials.
Minimum Qualifications
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Communications, Business Administration or similar fields from a reputable university; a Masters degree will be an added advantage.
  • Working knowledge of the Exchange’s products and services.
  • Minimum five (5) years of relevant experience in a senior position in a marketing department or equivalent.
  • Membership to a relevant professional body (PRSK, MSK etc)
