Graphic Design Trainee

Reporting to the Chief Designer, the Graphic Design Trainee will undergo an extensive on-the-job training in conceptualizing and producing design solutions that meet the Star's standards and strategy

Qualifications

Degree in graphic design Graduated on or after 31 st December 2010 A creative individual with evident talent A passion for graphic design

Sub Editing Trainee

Reporting to the Chief Sub Editor, the Sub Editing Trainee will sharpen his/her skills in newspaper sub editing and related skills


Qualifications

Degree in literature and/journalism
Graduated on or after 31 st December 2010
Excellent written and spoken command of the English language
A keen eye for detail

Trainee Reporter

Reporting to various functional editors, the Trainee Reporter will be posted to various desks in the newsroom to obtain an all round reporting foundation.

Upon completion of the training program the trainee reporter will be posted to a specific desk based on the end of traineeship evaluation. Women are highly encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

Degree in literature and/or journalism
Graduated on or after 31 st December 2010
Excellent written and spoken command of the English language
Strong but simple writing style
A keen eye for detail
Ability to take good photographs is an advantage.
