Investing in Children and their Societies (ICS) is an international organization established in the 1980s, headquartered in the Netherlands and with offices and initiatives in several countries in Africa and Asia. The Africa regional office is located in Nairobi, Kenya.
In East Africa, ICS invests in innovative entrepreneurship projects and social programmes. We envisage economically empowered communities and societies where people exploit the available resources to increase household incomes and generate community wealth and thus improve the quality of life. We work with the local communities to invest in development of various entrepreneurial initiatives aimed at improving agricultural value chains particularly efficiency at production, value addition, processing and marketing. Investments in entrepreneurship are then integrated with targeted social programmes on child protection and skillful parenting to create sustainable changes in the lives of children and their societies.
Our investments continue to attract capital from social investors, venture capitalists, foundations, governments, banks, and private donors. In Africa, we work with limited companies which act as main investment and business vehicles for the entrepreneurship initiatives.
To support our initiatives in Africa, we are looking to fill the following positions with business minded professionals with a entrepreneurial flare and a passion to make a difference in people’s lives.
