Vacancy- Loan Administration Assistant
A small short-term lending company based in Nairobi’s CBD and established in 2011 is looking for a Loans Administration Assistant to be based in its town office.
Job Summary:
Prepares loan documents for both regular and new clients, develop new loan products, ensure full compliance and quality of loan documentation for funding. Resolves loan documentation issues with
lending team collaborating on problem solving and process improvements efforts to maintain and continuously improve loan operations policy, procedure, and performance. Position will therefore entails a broad variety of loan service functions from loan application through loan closing.
Duties & Responsibilities:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each of the essential duties satisfactorily including:
• Creates new loan files by preparing documentation for scanning, entry into system and proper storage.
• Completes quality checks of loan packets, document deficiencies, and resolves exceptions with Senior Loan Officers.
• Completes asset searches and client filings; maintains current client account by filing continuations and terminations when needed.
• When necessary, assists with reports and audits in the evaluation of loan operations performance.
• Ensures loans and processes meet compliance standards.
• Carries out responsibilities with professionalism and respect for others in accordance with the company’s policies and applicable laws.
• Additional responsibilities include tracking the loan maturity pipeline to ensure timely and efficient loan renewals and following up on documentation and collateral exceptions.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Timely and complete loan documentation retention, scanning, and storage
• Timely reminders and follow ups
• Date and document entry and accuracy
• Adheres to policy & procedure
• Performance reporting
Qualifications:
Knowledge/Skills:
• Experience with short-term lending preferably micro-finances, commercial and consumer loans
• Understanding of contracts and documents such as LPOs, Salary Slips and collaterals
• Advanced ability to analyze, research and interpret data desirable
• Strong understanding of Ms Office packages, Excel (a must), MS Word, Internet,
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• College Diploma or Equivalent
