The company has been implementing a modernization programme focusing on new processes, talent development and enhancement of shareholder value, and is now seeking a dynamic and experienced Managing Director to provide leadership in these initiatives.
This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious executive with successful change management experience.
Reporting directly to the Board, the successful candidate will be responsible for:
Advising the Board on all matters relating to company strategy, business opportunities and investments;
Providing leadership in the development and implementation of appropriate strategies for enhancing the profitability and shareholder value of the company;
Implementing and overseeing management of change;
Ensuring that human resource capacity and appropriate management structures and policies are developed within the organization for sustainable growth;
Overseeing corporate planning, budgeting and effective implementation of policy decisions at both strategic and operational levels;
Identifying and developing new investments and businesses in a dynamic environment;
Oversight responsibilities for operations and financial management;
Providing relationship management and networking with local and global business partners and stakeholders;
Promoting sound corporate governance and ethical standards; and
Providing proactive public relations and enhancing the company’s corporate image.
Applicants must be university graduates preferably with post graduate qualifications in Business Administration from recognized institutions.
In addition, they should have at least 10 years working experience in senior management positions in the FMCG sector.
Drive to solicit business and excellent communication and interpersonal skills are crucial for success in this role.
