MSF - B HIV / TB SPERVISOR AND REFERRAL CLINICIAN JOB IN KENYA

Is looking for HIV/TB Supervisor & Referral Clinician Based in Nairobi, on a fixed term contract, extendable

The selected candidate will report to the Medical Focal Person and Field Coordinator. He/she will be responsible for ensuring quality HIV/TB care is provided within MSF-B Kibera project in Nairobi.

Main tasks include, but not limited to:
Developing, maintaining, updating and implementing protocols/guidelines on HIV/AIDS/TB care for MSF project based on national protocols and MSF approved guidelines, in collaboration with the medical coordinator and other relevant parties nation wide.
Training and supervision of medical staff working in HIV/AIDS/TB care in the project, including compilation and distribution of relevant medical journals/articles for use in the project, evaluation of staff and identification of recommended improvement.
Analyzing and interpreting medical data collected in the project to support internally and externally needed reports and/or to define future strategies.
Be the referent person in HIV/AIDS/TB care provided in the project.
Referral clinician for other complex medical activities.

Overseeing and monitoring patients’ referral system in the project and ensuring its implementation in coordination with other departments.
Assisting in the ordering of HIV/AIDS/TB related drugs and medical equipments.
Evaluating the existing strategy, goals and objectives of HIV/AIDS/TB care in the project, advise and together with the project and medical coordinator design proper  future strategy to be implemented in the project.
Representing MSF at stakeholders meetings and national ARV taskforce, in coordination with medical coordinator.

Working hours: Monday to Friday - 08.00 to 12.30 and 13.30 to 17.00. (Can be called upon to work on Saturdays).

Requirements:
Registered Medical Doctor or Clinical Officer, with a minimum of 2 years experienced in HIV/AIDS/TB.
Strong technical, management and interpersonal skills.
Flexibility, motivated, autonomous, proactive, patient, discreet, open minded.
Strong sense of confidentiality, team spirit and dynamism.
