BUYER VACANCY IN KENYA

A leading private sector organization seeks to recruit a buyer. Reporting to Procurement Manager,
you will assist in management and coordination of procurement function to ensure efficient and
effective delivery of goods, services and works for the company in line with organizations
procurement policies and regulations.

Responsibilities
· Coordinate with user departments on procurement requirements and provide technical advice;
· Prepare, review and evaluate tender/bid documents;
· Maintain procurement related documents for their docket;
· Processing requisitions from users and process purchase orders;
· Verify supplier invoices and following up on payment;
· Prepare contract documents relating to docket;
· Conduct supplier evaluations and rating.

Requirements
· Bachelors Degree in Commerce or related field;

· Diploma in Purchasing and Supply Management from CIPS or KNEC.
· Minimum three years experience in a similar position;
· Computer literacy - proficient in use of MS packages including word, excel and power point, and
internet;
· Excellent communication & interpersonal skills;
· Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines;
· Strong team player with high integrity;
· Familiarity with USAID/DFID regulations will be an added advantage.
