Assistant Sales Manager

Our client, an international import and export company is seeking to recruit an assistant sales manager who will be tasked with selling of the various imports and exports services of the Freight Service Division. Develop Airfreight / Sea freight Business in Kenya.

Immediate reporting to: General Manager

Higher level of report to: Regional Director

Essential Duties:
  • Management of Sales and Marketing Activities.
  • Development of Sea Freight and Airfreight Business.
  • Improving and strengthening Agency network.
  • Achieving set revenue targets on all core products of himself and team.
  • Solving Customers problem.
  • Key Account Management.
  • Securing and retaining Customers secured by Sales Department.
  • Track and monitor Sales progress i.e. Sales Calls, Inquiries, Quotations and conversion from quotation to bookings on Daily basis.
  • Monitoring/Guide Sales team in achieving Sales revenue target on monthly basis.
  • Develop prospective clients/ Route and Agents.
  • Coordinate thru customer service and operations for complete operations activity.
  • Ensure credit customers are vetted out through with credit approval process.
  • Conduct Weekly Sales Meeting
  • Analyze Monthly Sales Report from Whiz System and share with team and to Management.
Authority:


Take decision on mark up rates based on the agent rate.
To correspond with agents for securing rates, which are not on file, or for adoch enquires from customer.

Qualification:
  • Academically should be a university graduate.
  • Course in marketing related subject would be added qualification.
  • Computer Literate.
  • Relevant experience is a must.
  • 5-7 years working experience.
