Core PS Planning Engineer

Reporting to the Core Network  Manager, the role holder is responsible for Core PS Planning  including but is not limited to the Core SGSN, GGSN, WAPGW, PCRF, Wi-Fi Core, Network LAN/WLAN and Radius systems integrating to Core PS platform.

Key Responsibilities

Evaluation
  • Create KPI for new products/services;
  • Marketing proposals, P&S Vendor evaluation process  - weighted evaluation for new hardware, features and services ;
Design and Planning (based on the evaluation results/outcomes):
  • Analyze Core PS network on a weekly basis against the KPI;
  • Design Core PS network for new elements are added;
  • Minimize network and service impact for any change;
  • Scheduling all the planned worked;
Implementation and Integration
  • Create and update handover system configuration documentation after software/hardware upgrade;
  • Configure data for new systems with vendor engineer;
  • Create necessary work instruction for existing systems;
  • S.W.O.T Analysis of Projects;
Optimization
  • Provide recommendation reports to Identify opportunities for improvement and optimization of existing services;
  • Create a tool/find out method to get statistical data from the system;
  • Analyze the effect of a new/improvement change before & after implementation;
Internal Process Improvement
  • Setup Internal training;
  • Transfer knowledge to Technicians;
  • Build internal and external relationships with key customers and suppliers to deliver continuous quality solutions to business;
Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in one of the following:Telecommunications;Electronic Engineering; IT (Computing) – LAN design and configuration, TCP/IP;
  • 3 years working in a telecommunications environment (vendor or operator);
  • Experience of fixed mobile and f data network;
  • Good working knowledge on MS Office applications and Project Management.
