MSH DRIVER AND PRCUREMENT ASSISTANT JOB VACANCIES IN NAIROBI KENYA

MSH would like to invite suitably qualified and experienced candidates to join its team based in Nairobi, Kenya in the following positions.

Driver – Fanikisha Project

Working under the Country Operations Management Unit, the Driver serves as a chauffeur for project staff, consultants and other visitors. He or she provides for or performs maintenance for assigned vehicle, and perform administrative tasks as assigned. 

The Driver will; provide safe and customer focused transportation to staff & others as assigned, from/to the office, airport, hotel, project sites, and other location, maintain a record of trips, including kilometers traveled, fuel consumed and cost, and dates of oil changes, all according to established procedures. 

He /She will also pick up and deliver shipments / documents as assigned. 


He/ She will arrange for repairs and regularly scheduled maintenance of the vehicle as per manufacturer’s suggested schedule and be able to perform minor repairs as needed. 

He / She will ensure that the vehicle has all required registrations/ licensing and inspections, and that necessary documentation is retained with the vehicle.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate significant driving experience as a Chauffer driving in Nairobi and familiar with rural terrain and roads of Kenya. 

He / She will possess a valid Kenya driver’s license. Ability to provide proof of good driving record will be required. Previous auto mechanic and administrative experience is desired. 

Applicants will be reliable, able to demonstrate punctuality, attention to detail, patience, good humor, flexibility and customer service. 

He / She will also project a neat and professional appearance and be able to communicate in English language. 

This position requires applicants who have the flexibility to work during the weekends.

Procurement Assistant – CDC Lab Project

Under the guidance and supervision of the Procurement specialist, the Procurement Assistant will provide procurement services to MSH in Kenya Country office in compliance with MSH procurement policies and procedures. 

S/he will among other duties support the procurement processes, sourcing, asset and stock management and support knowledge building and knowledge sharing. 

The Procurement Assistant is cognizant of, and adheres to, MSH’s Code of Business Ethics and Procurement Integrity Standards.

Applicants must possess a minimum of a professional Degree in procurement with at least 3 years relevant experience in procurement preferably in an International NGO Set up. 

Candidates will demonstrate knowledge of USAID procurement rules and regulations will have a distinct advantage. 

Applicants must have excellent interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to interact professionally with a culturally diverse staff, clients and consultants.
