Primary Responsibilities:
  • To set, meet and exceed sales targets set in the monthly and yearly forecasts and to direct all efforts to maximize the destinations revenues and profits across all revenue streams.
  • To develop effective communications with local DMC’s to ensure we maximize local and overseas sales.
  • To manage and liaise with the overseas sales team, ensuring effective communication to deliver results.
  • To lead and manage the relationship for PR in source markets and co-op marketing opportunities based on potential return on investment and present to management.
  • To lead and manage the relationship with the tourism board specialist to deliver all objectives and take advantage of opportunities.
  • To drive forward, implement and deliver the strategy.
  • Be creative in developing all brands marketing ready for launch.
  • Develop a launch plan with all sales a team that is robust and time bound in line with overall strategy.
Planning & Organizing:
  • Take an entrepreneurial approach to business always seeking new opportunities and ways of working to drive the business forward.
  • Build and maintain the sales platform for managed account base. Develop, agree on and achieve performance targets for accounts in line with overall targets.
  • Seek and provide market intelligence and competitor activity in the market.
  • Develop and agree on quarterly activity plan.
  • Seek new commercial opportunities with managed account base.
  • Monitor performance to target for managed account base, instigating remedial action in line with budget expectations.
  • Accurately forecast in line with budget setting timelines in co-ordination with the activity plan.
  • Assess new market or account opportunities and present findings.
  • Maintain a quarterly product training / presentation for all sales teams to use.
  • Develop and maintain third party relationships such as industry bodies and airlines.
  • Manage co-op marketing activities, including presenting return on investment reports to management.
Operations:
  • Ensure regular inventory reviews are conducted in line with budget goals.
  • Conceptualize and implement workshops, road-shows, familiarization trips, Trade sales presentations at seminars, trade shows, marketing meetings, product launches, etc.
Administration:
  • Maintain effective control of sales expenses in line with budget and submit expense reports on a monthly basis.
  • Ensure account databases are maintained.
Experience:
  • 5-7 years of experience in a similar position.
Skills and Certification:
  • Sales & Marketing Degree with relevant experience in the hospitality industry at a senior level.
