Fintrac Vacancies in Kenya

Fintrac, a leading international development consulting firm, is seeking experienced professionals for a new USAID-funded agriculture project.
 
M&E Manager
 
Responsible for managing the design and implementation of large-scale data collection efforts, liaising with project staff and counterparts to obtain required information, and analyzing results for reporting to donors. 

Applicants must have prior management experience and proven experience implementing complex, large-scale surveys. 

Strong management and communications skills. 

Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred) in statistics, econometrics, agricultural economics or related field.
 
M&E Specialists
 
Primarily responsible for field-based data collection. 

Applicants must have prior experience in survey enumeration and be willing to travel and work extensively in rural settings. 

Strong Microsoft Excel, organizational and interpersonal skills and ability to ride a motorcycle. Technical degree (Bachelor’s preferred) in statistics, agriculture or related field.

M&E Assistants
 
Primary responsibilities include data entry, data cleaning and data filing. 

Applicants must have strong Microsoft Excel skills, experience using data entry software such as Microsoft Access, and strong allaround computer and organizational skills. 

Based in Eldoret, Kisumu, Kibwesi or Kitui.

Market Analyst
 
The market analyst will conduct detailed value chain research and analysis throughout the target value chains of maize, dairy, and horticulture crops to identify interventions that will increase competitiveness and trade, from smallholder productions systems to new product development and global marketing strategies. 

Applications are invited from graduates in statistics, agricultural economics or a related subject who have the quantitative and analytical skills to provide high quality support to the project team and its commercial partners. 

Applicants also need at least five years of practical experience in agriculture, preferably with a private company.
 
Communications Specialist
 
The project will publish monthly bulletins, success stories, quarterly and annual reports, as well as generate a continuous stream of technical and market information which can be utilized by all stakeholders in the agriculture sector. 

To ensure that this information is documented and distributed efficiently, we are looking for an experienced technical writer and communications specialist with previous relevant experience in some aspect of agriculture. 

Proficiency in Microsoft Word and fluency in English required. Special consideration will be given to candidates with Graphic Design experience. 

Regional travel required.
