Data Management Assistants and Driver Jobs - Goldstar

Through the APHIAplus Nuru ya Bonde and APHIA plus Health, Communications and Marketing projects, Goldstar Kenya is building the capacity of private practitioners to provide comprehensive and integrated HIV and TB prevention, care and treatment services that are in line with Government of Kenya health strategies and national standards. 

We seek qualified candidates for the following positions.

Data Management Assistants 

 (2 Positions)
Location: Nairobi & Nyanza

Basic Function:
  • The Data Management Assistant will be responsible for organizing, entering data into Gold Star (GS) Kenya database systems and filling of data forms appropriately to ensure security of records and timely and accurate reporting. 
  • S/he will be required to maintain data confidentiality and integrity for GS Kenya as directed. 
  • S/he will work directly with the Senior Technical Officer (STO), M&E based in Nairobi who will provide directions and guidance in data management.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Liaises with STO, M&E to ensure consistent supply of data collection tools for GS Kenya activities and other M&E resources as required.
  • Ensures timely entry of GS Kenya data into project databases in line with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and USG data management guidelines,
  • Responsible for ensuring data quality is maintained during entry.Supports the STO, M&E in data cleaning.
  • Support the STO, M&E in planning and implementation of data reviews.
  • Runs basic data analysis and summaries as required from time to time.
  • Ensures filling of GS Kenya records and reports appropriately.
  • Maintains data confidentiality and security.
  • Assists in collecting data from providers.
  • Builds the capacity of providers to collect and report data on community unit activities
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor from time to time
Minimum Requirements:

Diploma in Statistics/Health Information Systems/Information Technology with at least 2 years’ experience in data management work. 

Computer proficiency in word processing, in MS Office Suite, Epi Info and familiarity with SPSS preferred.

Driver

Location:–Nairobi

Basic Function:
  • To provide driving and logistical services to the Family Health International (FHI 360) Kenya office and Gold Star (GS Kenya). 
  • Maintain the organizations’ vehicles in a clean and serviceable condition perform minor preventive maintenance and safety checks on a daily basis and inform the supervisor of discrepancies.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Drives staff and visitors to meetings and appointments with due caution andcourtesy as assigned.
  • Maintains vehicle in good condition, including cleaning inside and outside of the vehicle and engine check-up.
  • Ensures proper fluid levels, good tire condition, and insurance certificates are up to date.
  • Ensures current driving license for self and appropriate licensing, inspections and registrations for vehicles.
  • Assists with logistical matters, e.g., deliveries, visa applications, picking up and collecting mail from post office and other errands as assigned.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
