SIF Kenya Office is working to improve the Revenue and the prevalence of water borne diseases reduced in Ijara District, Garissa counties of Kenya, through of Water and sanitation, livelihood and hygiene promotion, cash and food for work activities.
General Position Summary The Human Resource Assistant is tasked for providing all administrative support to the SIF mission. The H.R. assistant works directly under the supervision of the Administrator. S/he is in
charge of the creation SIF Kenyan mission HR procedures according to SIF HQ regulation. S/he had also to ensure the payment of national staff and to pay legal taxes.
As HR assistant, s/he is part of all recruitment process.
The HR Referent job is a temporary and par time position.

Essential Functions 
Shape up the Solidarity Islamic France HR guideline according to Secours Islamique France office in Paris.
Ensure the recruitment of national staff
Responsible for maintaining personnel files for all staff – including recruitment documents, CVs, valid contracts, timesheets, employee data sheets, disciplinary papers and performance evaluations:
Ensure participation of HR Department in interviews for new staff;
Ensure Salaries and benefits adhere to SIF salary scales and standing protocols:
Ensure SIF personnel policies strictly adhere to Kenyan labour law as applicable.
Manage all of leave and holydays of all employees;
Preparation and process of monthly payroll and social contributions, Implement disciplinary procedures through the staff
Participate in disciplinary, hiring and termination meetings with program staff upon request;
HR administration for Nairobi and Garissa based staff
Other duties may be newly assigned due to mission evolution
Supervisory Responsibility: NA
Reports Directly To: Mission Administrator
Works Directly With: Head of Mission, Administrator, Program Coordinator, Program managers. Coordinator, Field
Other competence 
Proven ability to learn quickly, take initiative, and be accountable for results.
Awareness of and sensitivity to multi-cultural international development work.
Proven ability to follow procedures and meet deadlines.
Commitment to transparency, accountability and compliance with organizational and national policies and regulations.
Excellent communication skills both in writing and speaking
Very strong organization skills
Good team player, ability to set priorities

Knowledge and Experience
University degree in Economics, Business Studies, Humanities, HR or the like;
A minimum of 3 years of experience working in management of human Resource and administration with an international NGO;
Demonstrated experience in understanding Kenya labour laws;
Excellent IT skills (Strong capacities with Excel);
Diploma in Human Resources is an asset;
Fluency in written and oral communication in English and Swahili required, French is an asset;
Work experience with expatriate staff or at the international level is desired.
