The International Rescue Committee (IRC) in Kenya serves vulnerable populations in the Turkana
region and refugees in the Kakuma, Dadaab camps and in the Eastleigh, Nairobi.
The IRC implements programs in the areas of comprehensive primary health care, nutrition,

ECONOMIC EMPOWERMENT MANAGER, NAIROBI
IRC is currently looking for an Economic Empowerment Manager who will be the focal point for IRC’s
Women’s Economic and Social Empowerment project under the Nairobi Urban Program, with
technical support from the Technical Unit and management support from the Urban Coordinator,
Nairobi and Deputy Director, Programs.
The Manager will be responsible for implementing the Economic and Social Empowerment (EASE)
project in Nairobi and ensuring that the goals and objectives of the program are met. He / She will
provide technical and line management oversight to the EASE staff.
The position reports to the Coordinator Urban Program.
Qualifications:
• 3 years program management experience, including at least 1 year in a humanitarian context
with Economic Empowerment focus
• Master of Arts/ Science or equivalent in social science, humanities or related degree
• Good interpersonal skills, team building skills and community education/training experience
desirable
• Ability to live and work under pressure in an unstable security environment
• Experience in proposal writing is preferred
• Somali speaking is an added advantage but fluency in English and Kiswahili language is
preferred

HIV /AIDS OFFICER, DADAAB
IRC is currently looking for a HIV/AIDS officer who will be based in Dadaab and will be under the
guidance and supervision of Dadaab Health Team Leader.
In collaboration with the sector managers of the integrated health team, the HIV/AIDS Officer shall be
responsible for the overall implementation of all HIV related services offered by the IRC in Hagadera
Refugee Camp.
Qualifications:
• Nursing Officer or Clinical Officer
• At least 3 years experience in HIV/AIDS/STDs/TB projects/programs and Trainings in PITC,
Counselor support supervision, PMTCT, STI syndromic management, ART, Quality assurance
and TB/HIV care, Evidence based intervention in HIV preventions.
• Knowledge and ability to communicate in Somali will be a distinct advantage
