Main Duties and Responsibilities
Overseeing the development, implementation and management of computerized information
systems including:
• Formulation and implementation of ICT policies;

Qualifications, Experience and Skills
• Bachelors’ degree in Computer Science, information technology, system technology or its
equivalent from a recognized university;

Northern Water Services Board (NWSB) was established on 12th March 2004 vide gazette notice

INSPECTORATE /SANITATION OFFICER (SEWERAGE)
Reporting to the Technical Manager

Key Responsibilities
• To be In charge of sewerage department.
• To ensure that the sewer systems and all sewerage structures/ components are in good
working condition.
• To ensure that blockages and leaks are attended to on time.
• To keep and maintain all the records pertaining to sewerage services and operations.
• To ensure that submission of reports to the relevant institutions is done on timely basis.
• To ensure maintenance of the sewer pumping stations and the ponds.
• To ensure that samples are taken on timely basis and that the effluent meets the required
standards.
• To ensure that annual departmental budget and procurement plan is submitted to the
technical manager on time.
• Skills development of departmental staff through proper training.

Qualifications
• A Diploma in water engineering and waste water disposal or Diploma in water
technology, sanitation option or an equivalent diploma from a recognized institution.
• Have at least 3years post qualification experience in sewerage systems and in a
supervisory position.
• Should be highly professional, self-starter, self-motivated and a high achiever and should
possess leadership qualities
• Computer literacy is an added advantage
• Should be ready and be prepared to work during odd hours.

Medium Term Arid and Semi-Arid Lands Programme (MTAP) Unit established under Danida.

FINANCIAL MANAGER AND ADMINISTRATOR (FMA)

In close cooperation with the MTAP Programme Manager, the FMA will support the MTAP Unit
and will be responsible for the management of all MTAP's financial management issues,
procurement and management of assets.
The post will be based in Nairobi, but with frequent travels to the programme counties/districts.

Key Responsibilities
• Prepare the MTAP Financial Management/Accounts Manual being a component of the
MTAP Operations Manual;
• Develop, implement and monitor sound financial management and control procedures;

• Review and ensure the auditing procedures in relation to multi-donor auditing are
relevant, effective and fulfil all MTAP's requirements;
• Ensure that appropriate audit arrangements are in place for all DPA's;

Qualifications and Competences:
