Our Client, an international, non-sectarian organization which promotes an innovative value-based approach to peace building is seeking to recruit a Finance Manager who will be responsible for ensuring effective financial management and compliance for the company’s programmes in Kenya.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Responsible for ensuring effective financial management and compliance for all supported programmes in Kenya. 
  • Develop and manage financial processes related to the company programmes;
  • Manage the financial reporting and audit requirements to ensure that internal and donor requirements are met, this will include the preparation of financial statements, budget narratives and funds requests. 
  • Develop and deliver financial training for local staff and partners
  • Undertake financial risk assessments in relation to the work supported by the company
  • Ensuring the existence of strategic plans for the long-term sustainability of the various business units.
  • Ensuring relevant controls, checks and balances are operational at all times to safeguard the assets of the organization.
  • Ensuring the existence of relevant assets for the proper functioning of the organization
  • Budget monitoring including production of monthly management accounts
Skills and Qualifications
  • Holder of a  Degree in Finance and Accounting
  • Diploma/Degree in a Business related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in the field.
  • CPA(K)/ACCA Holder
  • Excellent technical skills and communication skills
  • Advanced knowledge of computerized accounting systems, preferably QuickBooks.
  • Applicants should have strong analytical, reporting, presentation and facilitation skills
  • Ability to be self-managing and work as part of a team.
