The Taita Taveta County Government wishes to recruit competent and qualified persons to fill the following vacant positions as per the Constitution of Kenya 2010 and Section 51 subsection (1 & 2) of the County Government Act No 17 of 2012. 
Ward Administrator

  3. Voi Constituency- Kasighau ward - 1 Post
Terms of service: Terms of service -contract 4 years
 
Job Group ‘N’
 
Salary scale: Kshs.48,199 - 65,290 p.m
 
House allowances: Kshs. 17,000 p.m
 
Other allowances: Kshs 8,000 pm
 
Duties and Responsibilities
The ward representative shall be responsible to the sub-county administrator for the following:-
  • Coordinating, managing and supervising the general administrative function in the ward unit;
  • Developing policies and plans
  • Ensuring effective service delivery;
  • Coordinating developmental activities to empower the community;
  • Providing and maintaining infrastructure and facilities of public service;
  • Facilitating and coordinating citizen participation in the development of policies and delivery of services;
  • Exercising any functions and powers delegated by the County Public Service Board.
Requirements for Appointment
  • Be a Kenyan citizen;
  • Be a holder of at least a Diploma with seven (7) years’ experience in supervision or a first degree from a University recognized in Kenya followed by working experience in Administration of not less than five years.
  • Have qualifications and knowledge in administration or management; and
  • Satisfy the requirements of Chapter six of the constitution.
  • Must be a resident of the respective ward.
For a candidate to meet requirements of Chapter 6 of the constitution 2010, he/she must have the following clearance:-
  1. A Certificate of Good Conduct from the Criminal investigations Department (CID)
  2. A clearance Certificate from the Higher Education loans Board (HELB)
  3. A tax compliances certificate from the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA)
  4. A. Certificate from Kenya Anti-Corruption commission (KACC).
