1. Youth Polytechnic Instructors 

(100 Posts)
 
Terms of service: three (3) year contract
 
Basic salary: 15,000 per month.
 

Academic: Be holders of form four certificate (KCE, KCSE,KCE/EACE division III or KCSE C- and above)
 
Qualification
 
Be a Kenyan citizen.
 
Diploma in any of the following disciplines:
  • computer studies/science; Information Communication Technology;
  • Building and Construction Technology; Refrigeration and Air conditioning;
  • Electronic Engineering; Electrical Engineering; Mechanical Engineering; Automotive Engineering; Civil Engineering; Agriculture;
  • Leather Technology/Foot wear; Hair dressing and Beauty Therapy;
  • Clothing Technology/Fashion Design; Food Production Technology;
  • Carpentry & Joinery.
Degree in relevant area of specialization will be an added advantage.
 
Applicants must adhere to chapter 6 (six) of the constitution of Kenya i.e.
  • KRA certificate of clearance
  • Certificate of Good Conduct
  • Clearance from Credit Bureau
  • HELB clearance certificate
Duties of an instructor
  • Preparing schemes of work, course materials, teaching aids, lesson plans and lesson notes, teaching, instructing and demonstrating, conducting practical exercises in specified technical areas.
  • Supervising projects and income generating activities, administering examinations
  • Preparing trainee progress reports, organizing and conducting co-curricular activities
  • Coordinating and supervising trainees on industrial attachment and field work, guiding and counseling trainees
  • Coordinating safe custody of learning tools and equipment in youth polytechnics
2. ECDE Teachers (406 Posts)
 
Terms of service: five (5) year contract renewable subject to performance.
 
Requirements:
 
i) Be a Kenyan Citizen
 
ii) Be holders of Certificate in ECDE or Diploma in ECDE from a recognized institution.
 
A degree in ECDE will be an added advantage
