Primary Purpose
 
In partnership with USAID and Vodafone, TechnoServe is implementing the Connected Farmer Alliance (CFA), a program to develop and scale mobile agriculture applications for 500k smallholder farmers across Kenya, Tanzania and Mozambique.  
The mobile applications will focus on facilitating outgrower management for agribusinesses and mobile financial services for smallholder farmers.  
The Program Manager – Kenya will be the primary driver of all CFA activities in-country. 
Key responsibilities include:

Mobile Solution Design: Drive the development of technical business requirements for the mobile solutions and ensure agribusiness and farmer feedback is incorporated.

Stakeholder Management, Business Development: Establish and maintain strong relationships with donors and stakeholders including governments, private sector partners, and business associations. Support identification, selection, and management of new partners (agribusinesses and financial institutions) within Kenya. 

Project Management: Effectively manage overall implementation including technical, financial and human resource practices to adhere to corporate policy, legal and donor standards. Manage and report on country budget.  Ensure project targets are achieved. Support country adaptations of performance indicators, templates, training materials, feasibility studies, country level work plans and market assessments.

Team Leadership: Provide coaching, direction and leadership to the Kenya country teams. Manage performance of team and recruit for vacant or new positions.
