Junior Analyst / Developer job in Kenya

Position: Junior Analyst / Developer

As a result of our continued business growth, we are seeking a highly skilled Junior Developer with a strong background in building scalable, predictable, high-quality and high-performance applications on the Microsoft technology stack.

As a Junior Developer, you will be responsible for building and maintaining internal and external-facing applications.

Main Purpose of the Job:

This person will report to the Chief Information Officer and will work with a team of experienced analysts, developers and business resources to build highly-performing enterprise systems that improve clinical outcomes and increase staff productivity and financial performance.

Key Performance Areas

Responsible for providing software solutions to organizational problems through:
  • Design, development, support and maintenance of relevant software
  • Create and implement validation and testing systems, configuration management and version control
  • To provide system level support for other systems through integration of in-house developed products with off-the shelf solutions and payment channels. The integration effort should include installation, tuning, user problem resolution, and the development of software to turn these components into fully integrated systems.


Consult with users to identify current operating procedures and to clarify program objectives;

Responsible for writing documentation to describe custom configuration of applications and operating procedures to liaison with 3rd party application development consultants;

Provide technical expertise and recommendations in assessing new IT software projects and initiatives to support and enhance our existing Microsoft based systems;

Investigate and resolve application functionality related issues and provide first level support and troubleshooting of in-house systems

Implement innovative solutions arising out of the ICT department and the business

Minimum Educational Requirements

Bachelors Degree in Business / IT will be preferred

Technical Skill and Ability

2 year experience in the following technologies:
  • Visual Studio 2010 using C#
  • WCF
  • MVC
  • Windows Forms
  • HTML5, CSS3, Jscript, Ajax, bootstrap
  • Windows Services
  • SQL Server 2008 and 2012 (TSQL, SSIS, SSAS, SSRS)
  • IIS
  • Web services
  • Proficient in using TFS and Source control within the MS VS Environment.


Required Competencies and Skills
  • At least 2 years system development experience
  • Experience within the financial industry will be preferred
