Data Master job in Nairobi BPO

Position: Data Master

Our client, a global leader in Business Process and Technology Management is looking for a Data Master Analyst with vast knowledge in Oracle Financials R12 and an understanding of the setups within various sub-ledgers such as Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Financial Accounts and General Ledger.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities
  • Focusing on delivering tools and platform-oriented software components for running, maintaining and operating Oracle E-Business Suite Application
  • Monitoring all stages of project lifecycle, from business requirements, technical definitions to development, testing, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), production support and completion
  • Analyzing, executing and accurately maintaining material master records of assigned product line
  • Coordinating, supporting, validating master data entry and acts as the point of contact for  Project Planning
  • Working closely with Project Planning, Master Scheduling, Purchasing, Production Control and Inventory Planning to facilitate setup
  • Testing and reconciling master data for the timely loading of customer sales orders and the  placement and receipt of purchase orders
  • Tracking and monitoring SLA (Service Level Agreement) and recording service level issues for resolution with the assigned product line
  • Participating in peer validation of functional designs and approve technical designs
  • Developing application diagrams, configurations, application specific data standards, system maps and integration strategies
  • Troubleshooting production support issues, post releasing deployment and coming up with solutions
Skills and Qualifications
  • Degree in IT, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Financial Accounting or related field
  • At least 2 years experience in support development and technical activities associated with Oracle application suite including AR, AP, FA,GL and  Inventory
  • Proven background in developing Web services, packages, procedures and applications/modules
  • Strong experience with Oracle Forms/Reports, SQL, Open Interfaces and APIs
  • Knowledge in development and Improvement of in-house tool set used by business user based on Oracle Forms, Reports, Java and UNIX
  • Good understanding of ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning), system capabilities, inputs and output
  • Must be able to execute multiple tasks in a dynamic high volume environment where meeting customer delivery requirements create urgency
