Regional Programme Director Job in Norwegian Refugee Council

Job Title: Regional Programme Director – Horn of Africa, Kenya
Closing Date: Friday, 25 January 2013
The Horn of Africa (HoA) programme is NRC’s largest mission globally. Operations began in Somaliland in 2004, expanded to Puntland in 2006, South Central and Dadaab in 2007. In 2011, NRC established presence in Kakuma, Kenya, as well as Shire and Dolo Ado in Ethiopia. In 2012, NRC commenced operations in Yemen. The Regional Office is based in Nairobi, Kenya.
Prioritized activities focus on shelter and infrastructure construction; water, hygiene and sanitation; emergency education including youth education; protection; food security and distribution. Programs target both emergency responses to acute crises as well as the capacity to address recurring protection needs of refugee or IDP populations through durable solutions.
