Materials and General Services Buyer 

Location: Nairobi, Kenya

 Job Purpose: 
Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, this role will lead in-country procurement assignments, generally dealing with drilling/wells materials sourcing through to delivery. To support purchasing of general items and services, accounts payable processes interface, vendor issues, general supplier relations and cross-departmental support.


Responsibilities /Key Objectives: 
Review materials demand to support well services/drilling campaigns
Co-ordinate and control the procurement of drilling tangibles and related materials
Develop, compile and conduct pre-qualification exercises, pre-tender meetings, invitation to tender documentation, tender openings and evaluation of tenders received.
Support the expediting process in conjunction with Logistics department.
Ensure compliance with Tullow policies & procedures, use of Tullow Systems along with governance and compliance obligations.
Provide support to User functions in the end to end Contracts &
Procurement processes.

Experience and Education: 
 A degree or Diploma in a business or management related subject;
CIPS is preferred.
Industrial operations experience, preferably in Oil and Gas environment;
Contracting experience, coupled with purchasing, logistics, supply chain and materials management activities, preferably in a drilling materials procurement role;
Negotiation Skills;
 Commercially aware with sound business acumen;
Demonstrates a personal commitment to Health, Safety and the Environment.

Local Content & Supplier Development Supervisor 

Location: Nairobi, Kenya

Job Purpose: 
Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, this role will ensure that Tullow Kenya makes a positive contribution to the wellbeing and advancement of Local/Regional people and their economy. Develop and maintain relationships with governmental and other external bodies. Identify and develop Local suppliers to bring further choice and value opportunities to Local/Regional sourcing.

Responsibilities /Key Objectives: 
Review and implement current Local Content policies and procedures
Increase the utilisation of Kenyan goods and services and those sourced from East Africa.
Build and strengthen the business relationship between Tullow and the government to maximise opportunities
Manage Local Content performance reporting in Kenya and East Africa Work with NGOs in identifying development projects.
Provide support and represent Local Content interests to operational Supply Chain activities. Develop and lead continuous improvement plans across Local Content.
Coordinate and participate in promotional activities such as trade shows, open days or meeting communities to promote the Company commitment.

Requirements: 
Preferably a Degree level in a business or similar related subject with a minimum 10 years at a supervisory level preferably in a professional services background e.g. banking, accountancy, law or similar in the Oil and Gas industry;
Substantive exposure to front line interaction with suppliers and or customers is essential;
Strong relationship building skills;
Ability to understand, develop and implement the Local Content strategy.

Contracts & Procurement Administrator 

Location: Nairobi, Kenya

Job Purpose: 
Reporting to the Senior Contracts Advisor –Kenya, this role will assist in the management of documentation relating to purchase orders and contracts for materials and services, in addition to other administrative duties.

Responsibilities /Key Objectives: 
Perform administrative tasks necessary for the efficient running of the Contracts & Procurement function.
Review contract files, both hard copy and electronic, to ensure all documents are backed up and files are correctly and completely executed
Ensure contract originals are logged and securely stored with copies made available for field staff. Maintains Contracts & Procurement Phoenix files and links to Maximo.
Tracks and registers requisitions, tender lists and RTAs in the Approval process
Assist Contracts & Procurement Manager in the preparation for internal and external audits. Maintains Contracts & Procurement post register to track issuing of contracts & expedites return of signed originals.
Manage the reporting of Contracts & Procurement related information, to include but not limited to: Purchase orders/Contract status, spend and commitments, supplier performance tracking, local content used for goods and services.

Requirements: 
A degree in Business or any related subject;
Diploma in CIPS with a minimum of 5 years experience in a business administration environment; Willing to learn new skills and the use of self initiative while working under the general direction of the Contracts & Procurement Manager;
Demonstrates a personal commitment to Health, Safety and the Environment.
