This is a very senior position and will entail travel within the region.
The candidate will be based in Kenya and will head a team of qualified country Financial Managers.
Key areas of Responsibility:
Monitor overall group exposure
Co-ordination and management of the finance function across the group to ensure congruence with the organization’s overall strategy and compliance with the established policy.
Liaison between finance units and the parent companies.
Ensuring timely submission of reports by the various units
Responding to all queries arising including managing expectations and explaining the consolidated results of the group
Ensuring all Accounting, Reporting and Tax areas of the Group comply with regulatory environments and that reports are prepared in conformity with generally accepted accounting principles, thereby fairly and accurately present the financial condition and results of operations of the Group.
Provide support to the growth of the company across the region including development of appropriate business plans and Capex proposals
Develop and consolidate group financials.
Ensure financial controls are in place and adhered to in all group companies.
Minimum Qualifications, Experience and Profile Sought:
A first degree (preferably in Business or an Accounting major)
Fully qualified CPA or equivalent accounting professional qualification
A minimum of 8 years experience preferably in the Coffee industry.
Demonstration of an understanding of risk exposure
Strong management skills, with ability to coach, mentor and develop staff
