VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT 
Matibabu Foundation Kenya is a local Non-Governmental organization whose mission is to empower Communities to take charge of their health, improve access to quality integrated health services
and strengthen linkages to other essential services. ICAP Columbia University is funded by
PEPFAR through CDC and is capacity building Matibabu Foundation to provide
quality TB, HIV prevention, care and treatment services. 



DATA OFFICER 
REPORTING TO: Monitoring and Evaluation
Officer 

LOCATION: Siaya County 


OVERALL JOB 
FUNCTION: 

The primary responsibility of this
position is to provide technical support for paper-based and computerized
health facility record keeping while ensuring high quality, accurate and timely reporting for the care and
treatment program through supportive supervisions during site visits and on
–site data review meetings. 



Duties and responsibilities: 
Data Entry, Collection and Management: Provide
     technical support for data enty, collection and management to staff at
     supported sites; guide the implementation of the patient tracking system, ensure
     accurate record keeping and safe management of patient records in
     accordance with national policies.Data Quality Audits: Perform
     routine data quality checks against client data from medical records to
     ensure accuracy of information for use of quality data to improve the HIV
     programData analysis and dissemination: Facilitate periodic on
     site data review meetings, analyze data and give feedback to supported 


     sites in order to improve HIV program.
     Reporting: To ensure that facility staffs compile quality
     and timely periodic reports.Supportive supervision: Provide supportive
     supervision to facility staff during site visits and guide the staff in
     solving data queries.Training: Participate in ME training workshops


Minimum Qualifications: 
·        
Diploma in Health Records Information Systems or Diploma
in Statistics
·        
Two years experience in data management and working
in health programs
·        
Proven ability to use MS Excel & MS Access
·        
Experience in data analysis using SPSS, Stata or
Epi-info highly desired
