Job Profile
 
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, s/he will be responsible for:
- Leading the procurement function and overseeing all aspects of purchasing, negotiations and process implementation for procurement of goods and services
 - Preparing procurement guidelines in line with the law, procurement manual and financial rules and regulations of the Authority
 - Preparing procurement plan and guiding/monitoring its implementation in the Authority
 - Leading in preparation of tender documents for purchase of supplies and equipment
 - Promoting a positive corporate culture and ¡mage of the Authority. Secretary for the Authority’s Tender Committee
 
Person Profile
- A Bachelors degree in Business, Economics, Procurement and Supply Chain Management or comparable qualification from a university recognized by the Commission for University Education.
 - A Masters degree in Procurement, Logistics Management, Purchasing and Supplies or its equivalent;
 - At least 7 years relevant experience, 3 of which must be at a senior level;
 - Membership to a professional body
 
Terms and Conditions
- Successful candidates for the above positions will be offered a competitive remuneration package.
 - Appointments will be for a contractual period of four (4) years renewable subject to satisfactory performance.
 - All applicants should attach the following documents with their applications: clearance certificates from Kenya Revenue Authority, Higher Education Loans Board, Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission, and a certificate of good conduct from the Criminal Investigations Departments.
