We are a Transport firm based in Mombasa operating over loo trucks looking for candidates to fill in the position of a Workshop Manager and Foreman.

Workshop Manager
Qualifications:
- Diploma in automotive engineering
- Experience of over five years as a workshop manager in a reputable transport company
- Excellent supervisory and team work skills
Duties & Responsibilities
- Ensure equipment (Engines, plant machinery etc) are promptly repaired and serviced incase of breakdowns or any other reason.
- Research and advice regarding purchasing of parts, products and new equipment as may be required.
- Provision of accurate and factual reporting, including maintenance of records of all vehicles and machinery.
- Ensure that accurate and up to date workshop weekly and monthly reports are prepared on time as may be required.
- Supervision of correct completion of documentation procedures including e.g. Requisitions and other purchasing and stores records.
- Manage the maintenance of workshop facilities and fixed equipment
Foreman
Qualifications:
- Diploma in automotive engineering
- Experience of over five years as a foreman in a reputable Transport Company
- Excellent supervisory and team work skills
Duties & Responsibilities
- Ensure the daily programming (planning) of all maintenance and repair tasks is done on trucks and other vehicles and machinery.
- Ensure all workshop resources (labor, machinery, materials, sub-contractors etc) are effectively utilized and monitored in order to achieve timely completion of repairs
- Qn an ongoing basis, monitor all works against specifications to ensure the continuing quality and accuracy of work performed.
- Ensure that trucks are ¡n proper working conditions before leaving the yard.
- Allocate duties to the technicians based on their skills and knowledge
- To respond to high-way emergencies e.g. Breakdowns, accidents, traffic incidences etc. The foreman will ensure that recoveries and repairs are done within the shortest time to minimise down/idle time.
Also Required:
- Long distance articulated drivers with over 8 years’ experience.
- Qualified mechanics, grade II with over 4 years’ experience
