DSW International Program Coordinator job in Nairobi County

DSW (Deutsche Stiftung Weltbevoelkerung) is an international development and advocacy organisation with headquarters in Hannover, offices in Ethiopia, Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda, and liaison offices in Berlin and Brussels. 
DSW also works in partnership with sub-grantees in Burkina Faso, Mali, Mozambique, Niger, Rwanda, Senegal, India, Indonesia, Nepal, and Pakistan.
DSW seeks to recruit an International Program Coordinator to be based in Nairobi, Kenya with frequent travels within Eastern Africa.
 
General Responsibility:
 

The International Program Coordinator will ensure the effective planning, implementation and monitoring of the EU funded Programme based on the agreed budget and contract with the donor. 
Will submit proposals to potential donors to sustain Youth to Youth DSW initiative.
 
Areas of responsibility for the position include:
  • Coordinate the EU funded program addressing poverty reduction and sexual reproductive health ensuring budgetary and financial management as well as quality project outputs
  • Supervise activities carried out by DSW country offices and partners
  • Assure that high quality reports are submitted to donors on time
  • Promote and manage partnerships with local and national Government
  • Liaise with EC delegations, other donors and international NGOs
  • Identify and seek funding to sustain and expand DSW’s project portfolio, consistent with DSW’s mission, vision and strategic plan
Requirements:
  • BA degree in social science or relevant development field
  • 5 years experience in working with an international non-profit organization
  • 3 years experience in EU grant management
  • Flexibility, problem solving with excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work under pressure
  • Excellent communication skills in spoken and written English
  • Proof of submitting successful grant applications
