Various Vacancies in Bamburi Limited Kenya

Legal Officer — ref: LO/BCL/2013:
 
The position reports to the General Counsel and will be based at our Nairobi Corporate Office. 

The jobholder will assist in managing and coordinating the affairs of the Legal Department to enhance quick and efficient Litigation management, contracts administration, statutory compliance, risk management and proper record keeping across our operations in Kenya and Uganda.

Qualifications:
  • An Advocate of the High Court of Kenya with three (3) years work experience; of which two (2) years must be in a multinational corporate organization, preferably in manufacturing
  • Certified Public Secretary Qualification
  • Ability to work well under pressure, as a team member and without supervision
  • Possess good resource management, coordination and interpersonal skills
  • Have excellent negotiating and solution finding capacity
Sales Representatives (2 Positions) — ref: SR/BCL/2013:
 
The successful candidates will manage our regional distribution networks with the aim of growing our markets and develop sustainable relationships with our customers and distributors. 

The jobholders will work closely with internal stakeholders, which include Marketing, Customer Service and Commercial Control teams to ensure achievement of sales and volume targets. 

Reporting to the Sales Manager, the successful candidates should be willing to work in any region within Kenya.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelors Degree in Business or Technical discipline. Degree in Engineering will be an added advantage
  • Three (3) years sales experience in a FMCG or construction environment with proven track record in meeting sales targets
  • Experience in regional and distributor sales management
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Ability to effectively relate and manage a range of customers, maintaining good relationships
Retail Sales Representative - ref: RSR/BCL/2013:
 
The position calls for an outgoing self-starter with excellent inter-personal skills, able to deal with different categories of retailers. 

The successful candidate will be required to build and manage a retail portfolio within our targeted markets and should be willing to work in any market within Kenya. 

S/he will report to the Regional Sales Representatives.

Qualifications:
  • Degree ¡n a Business related discipline
  • One (1) year’s field sales experience with retail markets, building/construction retail is an added advantage
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills and with the ability to work with minimal supervision.
Senior Procurement Officer - ref: SPO/BCL/2013:
 
The incumbent shall be expected to lead in the procurement of goods and services and ensure their timely availability and value for the business through planning, operational management, acquisition and development at our Nairobi Grinding Plant operations. 

The ideal candidate should have excellent knowledge of purchasing regulations, laws and procedures. 

S/he will be based at our plant in Athi River and will report to the Group Procurement Manager.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelors Degree in Business Studies/Management
  • Professional Purchasing qualification - MCIPS
  • Strong familiarity and technical competence with purchase management software and/or automated procurement systems, such as SAP&JDE
  • Minimum of four (4) years direct work experience in a purchasing or procurement capacity
  • Excellent communication, organization & customer service skills.
