Monitoring and Evaluation Officer
Background
The UNDP Kenya and the Government of Kenya are implementing a national programme that seeks to consolidate the peace gains and the support to peaceful transition in Kenya.
Through funding from development partners, the programme provides technical and funding support to the National Steering Committee on Conflict Prevention and Peace building (NSC)/ OP and the collaborating partners through Uwiano Platform for Peace and the Partnership for Peace and Security (PPS).
The programme aims at strengthening national and local levels capacities for conflict prevention and resolution, early warning and early response, and mediation and reconciliation.
It will also support the electoral violence reduction initiatives and civil society actors in peace building.
This programme is expected to effectively deliver the UN development assistance through the outcomes envisaged in the United Nations Development Assistance Framework (UNDAF) and UNDP’s Country Programme Action Plan (CPAP).
Overall Objective
The M&E Officer will be responsible for guiding the overall M&E strategy and implementation of related activities within the programme and via partners, plus providing timely and relevant information to project stakeholders.
