Engineering Jobs in Aga Khan University Hospital

The Aga Khan University Hospital, Nairobi, (AKUH,N) a premier tertiary teaching hospital, is fast growing with a network of over 30 multisite medical centers in East Africa and a state-of-the-art Heart and Cancer Centre in Nairobi.
Applications are invited for the following positions:
ELECTRICAL ENGINEER
The Electrical Engineer will design, develop and maintain electrical control systems and/or components to required specifications, focusing on safety, reliability, quality, economy and sustainability.
Applicants should have a Degree in Electrical Engineering (Power and or Electronics Option) with at least five years’ experience in a similar position. Knowledge of technical functioning and maintenance of HV/LV distribution, switchgear and controls, diesel generators, and other HVAC equipment will be an added advantage.
MECHANICAL ENGINEER
The Mechanical Engineer will be responsible in guiding and overseeing contract/annual maintenance of day to day operations and maintenance of plant and equipment in order to enhance maintenance skills.

Applicants for the position should have a Degree in Mechanical Engineering (Preferably Majors in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning) with at least five years’ experience in a similar position.
HVAC ENGINEER
The HVAC Engineer will carry out activities relating to HVAC equipment management involving maintenance, technical inspection, acceptance testing/handover and third party service supervision.
S/he will advise on spares requirement, pre-purchase technical appraisal and annual equipment replacement plan. Applicants should have a Degree in Mechanical Engineering with at least five years’ experience in a similar position. S/he should have technical knowledge on HVAC, centralised air conditioning and refrigeration functioning and maintenance (mechanical, electrical/electronic experience will be an added advantage).
Applicants for the above three Engineer positions should be computer literate with excellent communication, analytical and organisational skills. S/he must be registered and/or eligible for registration with the Engineering Board of Kenya.
