Human Resource Manager

Somalia/Somaliand
Reporting To: Country Director
Base: Nairobi, With Frequent Travel To Program Areas

Concern Worldwide is a non-governmental, international, humanitarian organization dedicated to the reduction of suffering and working towards the ultimate elimination of extreme poverty in the world’s poorest countries.

Concern Worldwide is seeking a qualified and committed individual for a Human Resource Manager position for its Somalia/Somaliland programme.

The incumbent will be based in Nairobi with frequent travel to programme areas in Somalia/Somaliland.



Summary of Job Responsibilities:

The incumbent will be responsible for all aspects of Human Resources in relation to national staff, and as a member of the Country Management Team (CMT), the HR Manager has the following job objective: to develop and implement good HR practices; and to support senior managers in the continuous development and application of procedures for effective people management.


Qualification and Experience

A post graduate degree or its equivalent in management (qualification in Human Resource Management is an advantage)
Minimum of five (5) years experience in the HR Management field
Previous work experience with an international NGO in a similar capacity
Good computer skills to allow for reporting and presentation
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
Willingness to travel (security permitting) to Concern’s program areas in Somalia/Somaliland
