Halliburton, founded in 1919, is one of the world’s largest providers of products and services to the energy industry.

The company serves the upstream oil and gas industry throughout the life cycle of the reservoir - from locating hydrocarbons and managing geological data, to drilling and formation evaluation, well construction and completion, and optimizing production through the life of the field.

Due to continued growth and successful award of new contracts, we are looking to recruit the following positions;

A) Various Entry-Level Engineering Positions:

Education Background

University or Polytechnic graduates with a B.Sc. / B.Eng. or Diploma in:

Mechanical Engineering
Chemical Engineering
Petroleum Engineering
Electrical / Electronics Engineering
Civil Engineering

Must have excellent oral, written and communication skills
Good team player.


Responsibilities:

Require application of basic engineering principles.
Assists in the delivery of product services.
Uses some judgement in making preliminary selections and adaptation of engineering alternatives.

B) Various Entry Level Support Services Positions

Education Background;

B.A/B.Sc in the Social Sciences or Arts
Ready to work in administrative positions/ support positions.
Must have excellent oral, written and communication skills
Good team player

C) Experienced Engineers

Education, Licensure, and Experience:

University graduates with a B.Sc. / B.Engr. or Diploma in:

Mechanical Engineering
Chemical Engineering
Petroleum Engineering
Electrical / Electronics Engineering

Being a Certified Chartered Professional Engineer is an added advantage.
The candidate should have over 2 years of experience in an Oil and Gas services company.

Skills

Must have excellent oral, written and communication skills
Good team player.
Self motivated and disciplined
Ability to use advanced techniques and extension of theories, precepts of the field and related discipline.
Licensure to drive commercial equipment is required.
Familiarity with solids control equipment such as dryers, centrifuges and positive displacement pumps is an added advantage.
Must be able to work in as part of a team.
Should have exceptional skills within the service line and a general understanding of other service functions.

C) Experienced Warehousemen / Materials Controllers

Education Background:

Logistics / business Admin. / economics or international trade Studies
Computer Knowledge & practicing (Outlook, SAP, Excel, Web Tracking, Power Point, Word)

Skills:

Supervision skills (Organizing, leading, and controlling)
High communication skills to Logistics team and non-technical people with persuasion capability.
Self motivated and disciplined
High interpersonal skills and can manage pressure on him/her and the subordinates.
Time Mgmt. & Reporting skills

Experience:

Not less than 5 Yrs Experience in Logistics (Preferred Oil & Gas & in East Africa), import / export from and to East Africa different ports, dealing with Freight Forwarding Cos. and customs brokers, good communication and experience with east Africa customs authorities.
High level of Logistics understanding – MOT, Types of containers, customs procedure in East Africa, Documents & certificates required for East Africa clearance, Oil & Gas exoneration procedure, Customs clearance regimes in East Africa, know the liners Cos. working for goods transportation.
Preferred to have experience on moving HAZMAT and being IATA / DGR certified is an added value.
Understand the different kinds of Incoterms and the difference between each.
Preferred to understand the definition of cycle time & Logistics service KPIs.
Experience managing / supervising a team from different nationalities in remote locations.

C) Logistics Personnel.

Education, Licensure, and Experience:

Completion of a higher level education in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering or similar disciplines
Experience in working in warehousing environment, preferably in oil & gas industry
Knowledge of SAP materials and warehousing is a preferred, but not a necessity

Specific Knowledge & Skills Requirements:

Requires an understanding of the relevant PSL’s and their products and can understand the Sales Orders process as applicable to materials
Affinity with technical working environment
Enthusiastic and passionate about materials and warehousing processes and systems
Excellent communication skills
Analytical skills
Result and people oriented – effective in working with colleagues and suppliers in and outside the firm
Fluent in English (verbal and in writing)
Financial Fundamentals and Concepts Understanding of Business Controls Policies, Processes and Procedures

Work Location:

The work location is Kenya, with travel opportunities within and outside East Africa
