General Purpose
Performs basic technical activities to service the customer directly or through
customer interface, under supervision and following defined procedures.
Airtel 3G Network will be launched in March 2011 and will need 2 Junior
Engineers who will be trained to manage the planning and optimization of the
3G network.
Main Responsibility Area
Executes basic technical tasks according to defined procedures. Actively
develops competences.
Position Description
• 3G site planning - General Network Coverage Improvement and
Capacity Sites
• Assist in nominal planning
• Assist in site surveys
• Consolidate marketing data and planning data
• Assist in Ad-hoc cell / repeater planning
• 3G Network optimization - Network Fine Tuning for Higher Network Quality
• General network optimization
• Benchmarking drive tests and reporting weekly
• Quality report weekly
• Monitor statistics on daily basis and act on discrepancies
• Optimize the network to achieve the set KPIs
• Customer Complaints - Network Related Customer Complaints Reduction
• Attend to all Network related Customer complaints and resolve them
within the following agreed times
• Provide the data required for the growth planning exercise
• Assist with capacity planning monthly
• Configuration Management - Accurate Network layout architecture
• Ensure that the RF engineering Department has a 100% accurate
configuration management database
Position Requirements
• Advanced vocational level with a few years of practical experience.
• Knows how to practically apply specialized knowledge.
• Focus on his/ her own working area.
