ChildFund International Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning Director Job in Kenya

ChildFund Kenya intends to recruit for the following positions for a forthcoming Orphans and Vulnerable Children program in one or two regions in Kenya

Duties / Responsibilities
 
The Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Director will lead all monitoring and evaluation and research activities for the anticipated Orphans and Vulnerable Children program in Kenya. 

The M&E Director will provide day-to-day management of the program’s monitoring and evaluation and research activities working with the program staff, external consultants, implementing partners
and key stakeholders.

The M&E Director will report directly to the project Chief of Party (COP).

The position will be reporting to the Chief of Party (CoP).

Requirements / Qualifications
  • Master’s degree or higher in Monitoring and Evaluation, Public Health, Health Management, Sociology, International Affairs, Public Policy, Public Administration, Biostatistics, Statistics/Social Research and/or in a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in design and management of Monitoring and Evaluation and Research programs, preferably with respect to child welfare and protection systems strengthening, capacity building, economic strengthening, and service delivery;
  • Expertise in M&E-related activities such as statistical analysis, impact evaluation, performance evaluations, instrument design and management, and M&E training;
  • Strong interpersonal, writing, and oral presentation skills in English;
  • Strong computer skills, with familiarity in using Microsoft Office suite applications; 
  • Demonstrated experience in using SPSS, STATA and/or other analytical software packages including qualitative analytical software packages such as Atlas.ti or NVivo;
  • Demonstrated experience in quantitative and qualitative evaluation design, implementation and analytical techniques for development programs; 
  • Demonstrated success in design, development and implementation of complex M&E database systems and selection of appropriate solutions/ technologies that are adapted to local context;
  • Experience working with USAID and USAID Evaluation Policy, preferred;
