The Content Development
Assistant will be part of the team in CABI, Kenya, but will be working
as part of the Plantwise knowledge bank team who are mainly based in the
UK.

initiative, led by CABI, to improve food security and the lives of the
rural poor by reducing crop losses.

Plantwise will deliver
knowledge in two ways - face-to-face via a network of plant clinics in
the developing world to help the poorest farmers and internationally via
a comprehensive global knowledge bank.
We are looking for an
enthusiastic, motivated and highly organised graduate with a Masters in
Plant Protection or related subject, to fill a position supporting the
Plantwise knowledge bank team.
Activities will be tailored to the skills and interests of the successful applicant.
Potential activities include:
working closely with local partners to assist in and promote data
collection methodologies and analysis of clinic data; fostering the
creation of local factsheets; locating sources of relevant plant pest
and disease factsheets; sourcing relevant local content; advocacy of
Plantwise and the knowledge bank; augmenting the images used on the
website; collating, analysing and managing plant clinic data.
