The Danish Deming Group
(DDG), which is the Armed Violence Reduction (AVR) and Mine Action unit
within Danish Refugee Council (DRC), is starting up an innovative
community safety project in informal settlements in Nairobi.
To lead the implementation of this project and spearhead the further development of DDG’s Urban AVR programme in Kenya, DDG is looking to recruit an exceptionally talented individual for the position of AVR Adviser.
The ideal candidate is Kenyan and has an excellent university degree in conflict management, criminology, political science or similar field; extensive experience/knowledge relating to urban violence and exceptional capacity to analyse its causes and dynamics and identify and develop effective interventions to address these; has exceptional report, analysis and proposal writing skills; and is an excellent trainer/capacity builder.
