KENYA HEALTH WORKFORCE PROJECT
PROJECT SOFTWARE DEVELOPER
The Software Developer for the Kenya Health Workforce project will be responsible for:
• Maintenance, modification, and improvement on the existing project systems
• Design and development of new software for the health professionals’ databases
• Assist in linking professional regulatory database systems to other health information systems to ensure an
integrated and comprehensive database system for the entire health sector.
Qualifications:
• The candidate must have a BSC in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related course from a
recognized University
• Up to 2 - 3 years experience in an active solutions development field
• Must have working knowledge in .NET 2008 solutions development in VB and C#
• Must have clear understanding of database management systems on MSSQL server 2005
• Must have understanding of open source tools such as PHP and MySQL
• Must have knowledge of system documentation and report generation from Crystal Reports
• Experience in hardware maintenance and user support in Windows 2003 Server will be added advantage

• Must be proactive and innovative keeping abreast with technological advancements
• Must have ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Must be a team player, flexible and professional who is customer focused
