Program description:
This program is a collaboration between the Kenya Medical Research Institute and the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. It involves conducting research and program support for activities related to malaria, HIV and other diseases. It is within this remit that the program has a vacancy in the HIV Implementation Science and Services (HISS) branch.
Position: Research Officer (Program Coordinator) (1 position) MR 11
Reporting to: The Deputy Branch Chief
Location: Kisumu
Essential Requirements:
Education – Master of Public Health/ Master of Science and a Bachelor’s degree in Medicine & Surgery (MB.ChB) or its equivalent with at least 1 years’ experience in HIV program management
Must be registered with the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Board.
At least two years relevant work experience in the management of HIV patients, both provision of HAART and management of opportunistic infections.
