Our client, Business Partners International, is a leading risk financier of small and medium enterprises which manages the Business Partners International Kenya SME Fund and offers an innovative approach to financing and providing technical assistance to SMEs in Kenya.
They are looking for a highly motivated, self-driven and results focused candidate to fill the position of:
Place of Work: Nairobi, Kenya
Basic Function:
The main purpose of the job is to grow and nurture a business investment portfolio thereby
maximizing shareholders’ wealth and facilitating job creation, wealth generation and economic development in Kenya.
Principal Accountabilities:
Market to prospective clients and build networks
Undertake viability studies on targeted entities
Negotiate and structure investment projects on these entities
Manage and optimise the returns on the investment portfolio
Provide business expertise to portfolio companies while adding value to their optimal performance
Conduct financial modelling and compile investment reports
Ensure that the set targets are achieved consistently
Qualifications, Experience and knowledge:
Undergraduate degree in a business related field
At least 5 years’ experience in a similar function
Sound financial knowledge
Competences:
Excellent communication and solid negotiation skills
Excellent networking skills and ability to maintain relationships with key strategic partners in the industry
Ability to work effectively in a team environment
Ability to produce high quality reports, presentations and funding proposals
Good business acumen and strong entrepreneurial spirit
Sound analytical skills
High concern for client service
