Job Title: Training Manager
Reporting to: National Sales Manager
Overall Description
General Description of the Role
The incumbent will be responsible for designing, developing and implementing comprehensive training and development programs for the attainment of the company’s business objectives by ensuring that agents develop proficiency in the skills and competencies they require to deliver agency objectives.
This is a field based position that requires frequent travel to our 13 branch offices across the country.
The essential duties and responsibilities will be:
To identify sales skills and do competency mapping for the entire sales team
Knowledge management and capacity building by implementing selling models; monitor, evaluate and give feedback on the sales force sustainable continuity
To manage training needs analysis of the sales work force to meet their objectives
To facilitate sales team induction and on-boarding process in conjunction with HR
To design, develop and implement training programs and also evaluate their effectiveness
To conduct performance management in conjunction with HR
To undertake team competency appraisal by having periodic appraisal of the sales team
Minimum qualifications, skills and competencies:
Degree in a business related field
Training & Development professional certificate.
Professional qualification in O L & D (diploma level) and good IT skills
At least 3 years progressive experience in training management, preferably in the financial sector
Good interpersonal, organizational skills, integrity, outstanding communication and presentation skills
Coaching & leadership skills
Ability to excel in a fast paced, multi faceted team environment
Ability to work under minimum supervision
Ability to build strong working relationships, internal and external to the organization
