Job Profile
Reporting to the Board of Directors and the Chief Executive Officer, s/he will be responsible for the following:
- Ensuring that the Authority complies with all relevant laws and regulations
- Acting as a legal adviser to the CEO and/ the Board
- Liaising with the Authority’s designated lawyers on litigation matters
- Liaising with the Authority’s Auditors, Tax advisers, Bankers, Investment / Fund Managers and stakeholders on Board governance issues
- Attending and taking minutes of Board meetings or any Committee thereof
- Maintaining corporate records and filing statutory returns
Person Profile
- A Bachelor of Laws degree (LLB) from a university recognized by the Commission for University Education
- Postgraduate Diploma in legal studies from the Council of Legal Education and admission as an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya
- Master’s degree in Business Administration or any other related field
- Served for 7 years at a senior management level in the legal field either in the public service, private sector or be a practicing advocate with similar experience
- A member of the Law Society of Kenya
Terms and Conditions
- Successful candidates for the above positions will be offered a competitive remuneration package.
- Appointments will be for a contractual period of four (4) years renewable subject to satisfactory performance.
- All applicants should attach the following documents with their applications: clearance certificates from Kenya Revenue Authority, Higher Education Loans Board, Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission, and a certificate of good conduct from the Criminal Investigations Departments.
