Position:Telecommunication System Engineer

Our client, a leading distributor of security products in East African region is looking for a CISCO Certified Telecommunication System Engineer. The ideal candidate will be responsible for deployments and commissioning of integrated security systems with their related infrastructure. He/she will present recommendations to clients regarding system configuration and responsible for the enhancement of systems already deployed on client sites.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Working with internal teams and customers to understand requirement with technology in order to develop solutions
• Analyzing telecommunications problems and needs (e.g. interference, intelligibility, clarity, etc) to determine the most appropriate means of avoiding current or future problems and improve communication
• Determining appropriate configurations of Telecommunications hardware and software to ensure the desired performance of telecommunications equipment
• Deploying and commissioning of integrated security, fire solutions with their related infrastructure such as network and power systems
• Providing a lead role in the integration of the deployed security systems to third party systems in the customer sites such as Active Directory, MS Exchange, Time and attendance systems
• Designing and implementing telecommunications systems to interconnect equipment from different manufacturers, service providers and client agencies
• Trouble shooting and maintaining existing systems at customer sites to ensure full functionality, performance, reliability of security and fire systems
Skills and Qualifications
• Degree/Diploma in Telecommunication Engineering, Information Technology or any related field
• A minimum of 3 years working experience
• Excellent customer service and verbal communication skills
• Excellent written and administrative skills
