PUBLICIST/PUBLIC RELATIONS INTERN

As part of strengthening the operations of Myndz Community in Kenya, we seek to recruit a suitable person to join our impressive team of professionals as a Publicist and PR intern. The position is based in Kenya for an initial period of 3 months with an opportunity for renewal.
Job Purpose
The role holder will support the Communications and Marketing Advisor in ensuring high media visibility for the work of Myndz Audio which is a budding Indie label, housed under Myndz Community. The position will be for 3 months and we require a commitment of at least two days per week. We are flexible with location and can also be home based which requires a computer or laptop and internet access. Though regular face to face meetings will be required.

Duties
- Update and implement the Myndz Audio Publicity and Communication Plan.
- To achieve frequent, timely and positive media coverage across all available media.
- Student and/or graduate in journalism, marketing or public relations
- High levels of integrity
- Must be a team player
- Excellent communication skills both written and oral
- IT and social media marketing skills
- Experience with media planning. Agency experiences a plus.
