CLAIMS ASSISTANT – LIFE
Job Purpose
To ensure timely and accurate processing of individual life claims
Nature and Scope
Reporting to the Supervisor Claims - Life, the incumbent
will be charged with the task of processing and payment of individual
life claims and benefits (Maturities, cash surrender value, death ,
accident indemnities, personal accident, critical illness, disability,
mediflex) according to laid down standards.
Key Responsibilities
Registration of all new claims promptly and acknowledging receipt of the same
Assembling and analyzing of claims from the Branch Offices and Head Office Front Office desk
Monitor and ensure that the key interfaces adhere to the
set claims handling standards and escalate non adherence to the
management
Facilitate and ensure scanning of all applications relating to Individual Life claims into Document Management System
Capture and maintain accurate data to ensure data integrity
Handle individual life claim queries as required
Submit monthly and quarterly reports and any other reports as may be required by management
Perform any other duties assigned by management
Qualifications, Knowledge, Experience
- University Graduate/Diploma in Insurance
- Knowledge of Claims procedures, processes and policies
- Computer literate
