Sales & Marketing Manager (Cables)
Location: Nairobi
Job purpose
Provide leadership and direction in the sales & marketing activities aimed at growing sales, brand image and visibility.
Specific duties and responsibilities
- Expanding growth of business through planned and schedules field visits, value selling.
- Driving marketing activities, initiatives and programs aimed at creating awareness and visibility
- Identify new business while continuing to develop greater levels of business with existing clients through relationship management
- Achieving sales and margin targets through effective management/ engagement of both the sales team and distributors as well as establishing new distribution channels
- Development of sales performance reports to CEO - monthly performance analysis, distributors profitability as well as financial performance analysis
- Prepare, analyze and implement the various marketing promotions mix geared towards improving the sales of brand guided within the company’s budget.
- Manage key accounts and establish relationships
- Develop, implement, monitor the sales & marketing plans
- Train and motivate sales team and Distributors
- Setting specific targets aligned to the budget for sales team
- Conduct market intelligence
Key Performance Indicators
- Achieving sales budget
- Training and motivate the sales team on products, sales tactics etc.
- Increased customer service by improving order processing turnaround time
- Improved brand image and visibility of the products
Requirements
- A relevant Bachelor Degree in Marketing with a technical background
- 7- 10 years’ experience in senior marketing position
- Experience in Cable Industry
- Upholds integrity, result oriented and a team player
