A leading events company in the country seeks to immediately fill the position of a human resources officer.
HUMAN RESOURCES OFFICER
Reporting to: Managing Director
Duties: and Responsibilities
Constantly review, update and implement company policies and procedures.
Preparation and administration of contracts and maintenance of paper files.
Training and development of staff to upgrade their skills and competencies.
Recruitment of qualified, competent and experienced staff in liaison with the CEO.
Induction and briefing the candidates about their responsibilities, salary and benefits of the job in question;
Providing support to line managers and supervisors on matters pertaining to HR;
Guide the grievance and disciplinary procedure.
Initiate and administer staff welfare scheme in line with company policies;
Provide strategic HR support to the business working closely with the line managers and the CEO.
Conduct guidance and counseling for staff on a need to basis.
Performance management.
Any other duties assigned.
Qualifications
A Bachelor Degree in Business Administration, Social Sciences or Human Resources from a recognized university
Professional Qualifications
• Post graduate Higher Diploma in Human Resource Management
• Certificate of workplace counselling from a recognized institution added advantage
Skills and Experience
• 2 – 3 year’s experience in a similar position
• Conversant with the employment and labour laws
• Good organization, analytical and communication skills
• Computer literacy
Competencies
Ability to keep abreast with the constant changes in the industry practices
