Marketing Operations Assistant
Job Purpose Statement
To assist in all aspects of Marketing Department operations especially in management of promotional materials and Merchandising units store.
Key Responsibilities
- Report regularly on stock position to Marketing Manager as well as update on merchandising unit mapping.
- Assisting in organizing sales promotional events and exhibitions including report generation on marketing activities.
- Trade visits to find out additional or new promotional material requirements.
- Ensuring Planogram is adhered to in store.
- Support in the liaison with Field Sales Representatives.
- Providing up to date records of all materials received and dispatched.
- Provide signed asset forms from the trade in terms of the display units.
- Reconciliation of new and repaired merchandising units in East Africa.
- Ensure efficient allocation of materials within region.
- Ensure proper adherence to merchandising & promotional units procedures
- Monitoring and arranging the distribution of promotional materials.
- Monitoring and coordinating the production of promotional materials.
- Establish and maintain a centralized archive of Promotional & Merchandising items.
- Ensure all Wrigley Merchandising assets are tagged.
Requirements
- Bachelor Degree in Business related field.
- Two years experience in a similar position in the FMCG Industry with a proven track record of achieving results.
- Ability to create collaborative relationships and delivery of consistent results.
- Proven analytical and leadership skills as well as a strong business acumen.
- Have a combination of applied & theoretical Sales & Marketing knowledge
- Thorough knowledge of competitors’ products and services.
- Awareness of markets and financial implications.

Engineering Manager
Job Purpose Statement
Provides project management, leadership, coordination, standardization, and innovation within engineering to support the needs of the business.
To maximize the
availability and capability of production equipment through implementation of
standardized asset designs, layouts, operations, and maintenance strategies in
order to produce quality products according to the production plan with low
downtime, minimal maintenance cost, in time, safely, secure and with minimal
environmental impact.
Key responsibilities
- Understand risk management and assure compliance across all areas of risk within the factory, initiate continuous improvement on production facility and coach direct reports and others
- Identify and evaluate safety risk within area of operation and take appropriate action to mitigate this while holding change Management and hands on for all Engineering tasks.
- Plan and manage multiple, highly complex projects running simultaneously independent of the area
- oversee and track CAPEX progress ensuring best use of resources
- Develop and continually improve assets and equipment using Mars’ standards networking with Global Engineering to benchmark, promoting Engineering excellence
- Set up and manage a robust SOP for the plant in order to support the business strategy and vision
- Understand and have experience in a selection of Lean diagnostic and improvement tools (e.g.VSM, PDCA, Six Sigma) and determine the appropriate tools for current business issues
- Coach and facilitate objective root cause analysis of any situation and identify the solution using information and analysis to develop options for change
- Develop plans to Upgrade / Expand the Production Facility, including Building, Machinery, Utilities to support changes in production plan, launch of new products, or due to the legal or company requirements on Environmental Protection, Energy Saving and Safety and Control plans execution in planned time.
- To ensure managing and coordination of all growth projects in the Factory, connected with modernization of existing production lines, installation of new equipment, launching of new products and increasing productivity.
Requirements
- Supply Experience of 5-10 years of working experience in an FMCG manufacturing site, ideally with a background in engineering, and Operations Management.
- Demonstrated experience in building Greenfield facilities, planning and Predictive maintenance plans.
- Bsc in Engineering field(Mechanical, Electrical)and certification by the Engineering Board
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Problem Solving and process management Skills
- Ability to build effective teams and motivate others
- Approachability and high levels of integrity and trust
- Comfortable with systems and reports.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
