Mathira Water and Sanitation Company is a Water Service Provider contracted by Tana Water Services Board to provide water and sanitation services under its licence in Mathira East and Mathira West Districts under the Water Act 2002.

Reporting directly to the Managing Director
To ensure prudent management of financial resources and continuous improvement of Administration and accounting systems in the company
Planning, coordinating, implementing and controlling financial resources and accounting procedures
Attending to queries raised in the audit reports
Preparing timely and accurate reports and distributing to appropriate users
Managing all the affairs relating to the company’s human resources including recruitment, training and development
Performing any other duties as may be assigned from time to time
Knowledge and Skills
Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce (Accounting) and CPA (K) and at least 3 years relevant experience

Maintenance of water rising mains, services lines, sewerage pumping station, oxidation ponds, water treatment plant and meter maintenance workshops.

Maintenance of all company technical records and designs
Capable of developing departmental staff on Technical skills, culture change, customer relations, training and formulating staff motivation policies
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering or Water Engineering with at least three (3) years experience in managing water and sewerage services in a management position.
Applicants with a Higher National Diploma in Water Technology and at least six (6) years experience in managing water and sewerage services in a management position will also be considered.
The candidate should have a good demonstration of project management skills with adequate experience in operation and maintenance.

Supervise installation and replacement of all distribution network extensions
Ensure that prompt leakage repairs are done expeditiously in accordance with set standards and in the most economical manner.
Supervise work in the field and ascertain proper usage of materials.
Assign duties to plumbers and water attendants
Train and motivate the staff being supervised
Knowledge and Skills
Higher National Diploma in Water Technology with at least two 2 years experience in operating and maintaining water supply infrastructure
Applicants with an Ordinary Diploma in Water Technology and at least six (6) years experience in operating and maintaining water supply infrastructure will also be considered.
Suitable candidate to be highly innovative, team player, a person of proven integrity, self driven and motivated.

The Water Production and Quality Standards Officer will be reporting directly to the Technical Services Manager and will carry out chemical analysis, media preparation; maintenance of laboratory records; storage, collection and preparation of samples and specimens; diagnostics work; and any other duties assigned by the Technical Manager.
Key Responsibilities
Analyze water and sewerage samples on a regular basis to ensure treated water meets the set quality standards and specifications
Maintain test records and advising the production team on the quality levels and requesting them to take corrective action as appropriate
Collect samples and specimen on regular basis and preparing media as required
Ensure smooth operations in the water treatment works
Ensure proper maintenance of equipment and tools and reporting malfunctions of the same
Knowledge and Skills
Higher National Diploma in Water Production Technology
Knowledge in water and effluent quality testing
Two (2) years experience working in similar position in a water/sewerage treatment facility
Basic computer skills
Strong interpersonal and administrative skills
